What people tell us

“I highly recommend that all advocates obtain a copy of the revised Veterans Benefits Manual, especially our nation’s county veterans service officers. In the past I have used NVLSP’s newsletters and manuals to point out VA errors which have on numerous occasions resulted in the reversal of a VA decision.”
—THOMAS E. MARTIN (Peoria, IL), President, National Association of County Veterans Service Officers

The Veterans Advocate has been and continues to be an invaluable tool providing timely advice, in-depth analysis of current case law and strategy that has helped me win cases on behalf of my Veterans. Thank you, NVLSP.”
—NEAL A. WILLIAMS, NSO Military Order of the Purple Heart

“I completed the NVLSP Basic Training Course in 1996. This superb course prepared me to become an accredited service officer the following year through The American Legion Department of New York. I cannot recommend the course enough for both the Post Service Officer to the professional/accredited Service Officers. It was worth every penny I paid.”
—PATRICK R. ROURK, Director, Veterans Service Department, St. Lawrence County, New York

NVLSP PUBLICATIONS

Empowering Veterans and Advocates

Ever since NVLSP was organized in 1980, our primary focus has been the recruitment and training of both lawyer and non-lawyer advocates to help veterans secure their hard-earned benefits.

The publication of advocacy materials is designed to both to increase the pool of advocates available to veterans and their families, as well as to empower advocates in the effective representation of their clients.

NVLSP's Veterans Benefits Manual, Veterans Benefits Advocacy DVD, The Veterans Advocate and The Basic Training Correspondence Course are designed to be working tools for veterans’ service officers, attorneys, and others who assist veterans and their families on claims for VA benefits.

NVLSP’s Self-Help Guides provide easy-to-use information to the tens of thousands of veterans and their families who are suffering setbacks, illnesses, or disabilities as a result of their military service.
