Row for Warriors: Lawyers in Dragon Boats Race to Raise Funds to Help NVLSP Assist Veterans

WASHINGTON - Row for Warriors 2018, a competitive rowing event to raise funds for the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP), will be held August 25, 2018, as part of the Annual Capital Dragon Boat Regatta (http://www.capitaldragonboat.com/).

WHAT: The Advisory Council for NVLSP is hosting the Third Annual Row for Warriors, a dragon boat Race to raise funds and increase awareness of NVLSP and its mission to ensure our nation’s active duty personnel and veterans receive the disability benefits to which they are entitled.

WHERE: Southwest Waterfront/Washington Channel/The Wharf

WHEN: Saturday, August 25, 2018, 9:30 a.m. to Noon

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: A group photo of all Row for Warriors 2018 participants will be held at 9:30 a.m. on August 25. Dragon boats with the Row for Warriors/NVLSP teams will compete in heats and can be photographed from the shoreline (a quality lens is recommended) between 10:00am-10:30am.

WHO: Prominent law firms and companies are sponsoring and participating in the event to support NVLSP, including White & Case LLP; Latham & Watkins LLP; Sidley Austin LLP; Berkeley Research Group, LLC; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP; Covington & Burling LLP; Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP; and DLA Piper.

BACKGROUND: The Capital Dragon Boat Regatta will field over 23 teams, consisting of over 500 participants.
